Matthew Cooper Wale; Members of Parliament; Provincial Governments; public servants; business houses; statutory bodies; non-government organisations; church leaders; chiefs; community leaders; women’s groups; youth groups; persons with disabilities; and all Solomon Islanders.
The Ministry extends warm greetings to the Government and people of Solomon Islands as we celebrate our Independence Day on 7 July, a proud national milestone since 1978.
This year’s theme, “Our Nation, Our Responsibility and Accountability – Building a GREAT Solomon Islands,” reminds us of our shared duty to continue building our nation after 48 years of independence.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade remains committed to promoting and protecting Solomon Islands’ foreign policy interests and strengthening international partnerships.
As we celebrate, we reaffirm our commitment to a strong, united, and prosperous Solomon Islands.
