21 CSSI Officers Promoted to Sergeant and Senior Sergeant Ranks
Honiara, 21 January 2026 – Twenty – One (21) officers of the Correctional Service of Solomon Islands (CSSI) have been officially promoted to the ranks of Sergeant and Senior Sergeant during the parade held yesterday morning at the CSSI Headquarters, Rove.
The promotions formally announced by CSSI Commissioner, Mr. Mactus Forau, during the Commissioner’s Weekly Parade. Out of the twenty-one (21) officers, six (06) were elevated to the rank of Senior Sergeant, while fifteen (15) officers were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Commissioner Forau highlighted that among the promoted officers, two (02) are from Lata Correctional Centre, eight (08) are from Auki Correctional Centre, and eleven (11) are from Correctional Service Headquarters reflecting the Service’s commitment to recognizing ability and dedication across all operational areas.
The officers promoted are:
- Senior Sergeant Patteson Fitoo’o – Registry Unit, CSSI Headquarter
- Senior Sergeant Sande Linda – Finance Unit, CSSI Headquarter
- Senior Sergeant Patteson Vinia – Transport Unit, CSSI Headquarters
- Senior Sergeant Nathaniel Pogla – Communication Unit, CSSI Headquarter
- Senior Sergeant Jan Davis – Auki Correctional Centre
- Senior Sergeant Toloau June – Auki Correctional Centre
- Sergeant Marry Bridget – Auki Correctional Centre
- Sergeant Mostyn Laura – Auki Correctional Centre
- Sergeant Rinaldo Kobi – Auki Correctional Centre
- Sergeant Rocky Ga’a Dau – Auki Correctional Centre
- Sergeant Andrew Conley – Auki Correctional Centre

In his remarks, Commissioner Forau described the occasion as an important milestone in the careers of the promoted officers:
