18 CSSI officers promoted to the rank of Sergeant and Senior Sergeant
Eighteen (18) Correctional Service of Solomon Islands (CSSI) officers have promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and Senior Sergeant yesterday morning 5th February 2025.
CSSI Commissioner Mactus Forau formally announced the promotions of his officers during the Commissioner’s parade at the Correctional Service Headquarters, Rove in Honiara.
Ten Officers promoted to the rank of Senior Sergeant, and eight officers promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Commissioner Forau stated that the promotion surely means that the organisation not only recognizes their achievements but also their continuing dedication, hard work and commitment to serve the people of God, the government and the people of Solomon Islands.
“As your Commissioner, I would like to say that the success of Correctional Services depends on qualities enhancing strong and sound leadership you provide”.
He reiterated that strong leaders drive the performance and effectiveness of others. They also help to create an environment where every senior and subordinate officer should perform to their potential within the organisation.
He reminds the promoted officers to perform their roles diligently, with loyalty and hard work to the best of your ability. Consequently, the work at every level of the organisation is important, as far as your mandated roles and responsibilities are concerned.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Meke on behalf of the promoted officers acknowledged the Office of the Commissioner for their leadership in driving the agency forward. It was through supporting the human resources development strategy with the emphasis on the individual performances, recognitions and rewards.
“Thank you for having confidence and believing in us that we are ready to take on the responsibilities mandated to us”, says Meke.
