– A recognized Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, Commerce, Business
Administration, Economics or another closely related discipline with substantial accounting or financial management content.
– Sound knowledge and practical experience of Solomon Islands Government financial-management
requirements, including Financial Instructions, procurement requirements and other relevant laws, policies
and procedures.

• Desirable

A relevant postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, Public Financial
Management, Business Administration or a related discipline. Membership of, or progress towards
membership of, a recognized professional accounting body would be an advantage.

• Experience

At least five years of relevant professional experience in accounting, financial management or public financial
administration, including substantial responsibility for budgeting, expenditure management, accounting,
financial reporting and financial controls.

– A University Science degree or Masters degree in Economic Geology, Minerals Economic, Geology with
specialization in resource evaluation, or related discipline.
– At least a minimum of not less than 7-10 years in relevant geological and administrative experience.
– At least 10 years’ experience in applied mineral economics, geological evaluation, and mining project
assessment, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

• Capabilities Requirements:

– Familiarity with mineral policy, investment frameworks, and fiscal regimes in the mining sector
