COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES CRITICAL TO PROTECT THE VULNERABLE.
Healthy and strong citizens across the country are encouraged to practice safety measures in order to protect the most vulnerable members of the society from Covid-19.
“For their sake those of us that are more agile and healthy must comply with these public health measures not only to protect ourselves but the vulnerable that depend on us as well”
Health and Medical Services Minister Dr. Culwick Togamana made the call on Monday, saying the most vulnerable members of society are the elderly and those with underlying health conditions.
Measures such as social distancing, regular hand-washing, wearing face masks in public places and avoiding close contacts are necessary and should be complied with to make the fight against COVID-19 community transmission more effective.
Minister Togamana said the most vulnerable in our communities will be the elderlies and those with underlying medical conditions.
“For their sake those of us that are more agile and healthy must comply with these public health measures not only to protect ourselves but the vulnerable that depend on us as well”.
“In this regard, I plead with all of us to continue practicing these COVID-19 public health measures where ever you are,” Togamana said.
The COVID-19 community transmission has altered the country’s normal way of living and will continue to do so. Curfew hours, limits to movements, social distancing and many more of the public safety measures are greatly impacting everyone.
