RSIPF Officers Complete Water Cannon Vehicle Training
Six officers from the Police Response Department (PRD) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have successfully completed specialised training on water cannon vehicle operations conducted by the China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) last week.
The training covered typical deployment scenarios, driving standards and operational procedures to enhance the officers’ knowledge and skills in operating the water cannon vehicles.
Director of the PRD, Inspector Phillip Seda, acknowledged the CPLT trainers for delivering the training and supporting the development of the officers’ operational capabilities.
Inspector Seda stated that the training had unlocked the operational and deployment potential of the water cannon vehicles, strengthening the PRD’s ability to respond effectively to public order situations and other emergencies.
Director Seda further highlighted that improving the six officers’ skills in operating the water cannon vehicles would significantly enhance the PRD’s operational capabilities in responding to public emergencies.
The RSIPF acknowledges the continued support of the CPLT in providing specialised training and strengthening the operational capacity of the Force.
The RSIPF remains committed to enhancing the skills and capabilities of its officers to ensure they are well-equipped to respond effectively to emergencies and maintain public safety across the Solomon Islands.
