The Ministry of Provincial Government and Institutional Strengthening (MPGIS) along with the Ministry of Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology (MECDMM), through the Integrated Economic Development and Community Resilience (IEDCR)/Local Climate Adaptive Living Facility (LoCAL), is now advertising for suitably qualified persons for the following Contract Position: –

The Solomon Islands Government through the IEDCR, LoCAL and PGSP Programs along with the respective Donor partners aims to empower Provincial Governments to develop and fund adaptation strategies and plans, and climate change adaptation infrastructure and services to access technical expertise on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction; develop climate change and disaster risk reduction strategies; implement climate change adaptation projects funded through performance-based climate resilience grants; and, strengthen the entire project cycle from planning, execution to monitoring.
Therefore, the PPC is to contribute to the effective delivery of the Programme’s activities in the Province in coordination with the Provincial Government officials, thus supervise and support the activities of the WDC Support Officers (WSOs), by training, mentoring and facilitating their engagement with the PG Officials and monitor their performance and report to the Project Manager of the IEDCR/LoCAL.
