Inmate Allen Liomauri Released on Parole
The Commandant of Rove Central Correctional Centre (RCCC), Mr. Cecil Nokia, has announced the release on parole of 37-year old inmate Allen Liomauri of Malaita Province, following approval by the Honourable Minister for Police, National Security and Correctional Services, Hon. John Tuhaika Junior, on 15 July 2026.
The decision followed a sitting of the Parole Board on 21 May 2026, during which the Board recommended Mr. Liomauri for parole after determining that he had satisfied all statutory requirements for release under the parole system.
Mr. Liomauri was formally released on 17 July 2026 during an official ceremony held at Rove Central Correctional Centre in Honiara.
Speaking at the release ceremony, Commandant Cecil Nokia reminded the parolee of the importance of fully complying with all conditions of his parole. He emphasized that adherence to these conditions is essential to supporting successful reintegration into the community, maintaining public confidence, and ensuring community safety.
Commandant Nokia also expressed his appreciation to the Office of the Commissioner, members of the Parole Board, RCCC management and staff, church organizations, and partner stakeholders for their continued commitment to offender rehabilitation, reconciliation, and reintegration programmes implemented by the Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI).
The Correctional Service Solomon Islands remains committed to promoting restorative justice, and supporting the safe and successful reintegration of offenders into society through structured correctional programmes and effective partnerships with communities and stakeholders.
