Honiara, Solomon Islands – 02/07/2026: The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the National Panpipe Festival (NATPAN) 2026 Organising Committee, acknowledges the generous support of Our Telekom and Bulk Shop toward the National Panpipe Festival 2026, which officially opened yesterday at the National Art Gallery in Honiara.
The two corporate partners joined other sponsors, including SolTuna, Solrais, VFresh and Sasa Bottled Water companies, Tourism Solomon, and the Solomon Islands Government, in supporting this important national cultural event.
Our Telekom has provided sponsorship valued at SBD 66,500, which includes four SMS broadcasts to Telekom subscribers to promote the festival, and a Corporate Plan package comprising data, voice, and SMS services for committee members to support communication and coordination the event.
Bulk Shop has also contributed sponsorship valued at SBD 3,000 in shopping vouchers, which the organising committee will use mainly to purchase breakfast for participating panpipe groups throughout the festival.
The NATPAN Organising Committee expressed its sincere appreciation to Our Telekom and Bulk Shop for their generous support and the positive contributions. Their sponsorship will contribute to the successful staging of the festival.
The committee noted that such support plays a vital role in preserving and promoting the unique tradition of panpipe music as an important part of the cultural heritage and identity of Solomon Islands.
The festival is also expected to strengthen tourism development, create economic opportunities for local communities and businesses, and contribute to the country’s broader national development goals.
The committee further highlighted that the National Panpipe Festival will be held on a biannual basis and expressed its hope of continuing its strong partnership with Our Telekom and Bulk Shop in future editions of NATPAN, as well as the Umi Wan Festival.
Our Telekom and Bulk Shop commended the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the NATPAN Organising Committee for hosting this significant cultural event. They expressed their pride in supporting a festival that celebrates, preserves, and promotes the rich and diverse panpipe traditions of Solomon Islands.
