
HOW-TO GUIDE: MANDATORY ASYCUDA WORLD SYSTEM UPDATE

STATUS: CRITICAL / IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED
Please be advised that the ASYCUDA & IT Unit of Solomon islands Customs has successfully completed a scheduled system upgrade yesterday.
To ensure seamless connectivity and prevent any access disruptions, all users are required to download the new ASYCUDA JNLP configuration file. The previous JNLP file is now outdated and will no longer connect to the upgraded system.
Kindly follow the action steps and the technical clear of cache instructions below.
Action Required for All Asycuda Users:
- Clear your System Caches: You must clear both the SO Class Cache and the ASYCUDA Java Cache using the step-by-step guides provided below before running the new downloaded ASYCUDA Jnlp file.
- Visit the official Customs website: customs.gov.sb to download the new JNLP File
- Download and launch the newly downloaded ASYCUDA JNLP file from the website.
Note: Before launching the New ASYCUDA jnlp, First follow below Technical guidelines first.
TECHNICAL GUIDE: CLEARING CACHES
Before launching the new JNLP file, please clear both caches by following these detailed guides:

- Step 1: Close all open ASYCUDA World applications on your computer.
- Step 2: Open File Explorer (or press Windows Key + E).
- Step 3: Go to your local Disk C: and find and open the Users Folder.
- Step 4: Find the folder named .SOClassCache
- Step 6: Delete the entire Folder .SOCLASSCache
- How to Clear ASYCUDA Java Cache

- Step 1: In your Windows search bar, type “Configure Java” and open the application.
- Step 2: In the Java Control Panel under the General tab, click the Settings button within the Temporary Internet Files
- Step 3: In the Temporary Files Settings window, click Delete Files…
- Step 4: In the pop-up window, ensure the checkbox for “Installed Applications and Applets” is ticked, then click OK.
- Step 5: Click OK to close the remaining Java Control Panel windows.
