Acting PM meets visiting Australian Deputy Prime Minister

Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Communication and Aviation, Hon. Frederick Kologeto, met with the visiting Australian Deputy Prime Minister, Richard Marles, in Honiara on Wednesday at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The two leaders discussed areas of mutual interest, including Telecommunication, Aviation Infrastructure, renewable energy and others.

At the meeting, Hon. Kologeto praised the longstanding cordial relations between the two countries, highlighting Solomon Islands’ appreciation of Australia’s ongoing support in many areas.

Hon. Marles reaffirmed Australia’s commitment to support Solomon Islands, saying Australia is pleased and stands ready to assist.
