To the Head of State, Prime Minister, Ministers of the Crown, Honourable Members of Parliament, Heads and Members of all Diplomatic Missions, Constitutional Post Holders, Social and Economic Development Partners, Premiers, Lord Mayor, Provincial Assembly Members, Honiara City Council Members, SICA and SIFGA Church Leaders, Non-Governmental Organizations, Community Traditional Leaders, Media, Women, Youth, Children, Farmers, Fisherman, Sick Patients in our rural and urban Hospitals, People Living With Disability, Correctional Service of Solomon Islands Senior Executive Members, Commandants, Directors, Ranks and Files, CSSI Officers Families, Brother and Sister Inmates in Honiara and across our Provincial Correctional Centres and our National Citizens throughout the country and abroad.
May I, as the Commissioner of Correctional Service of Solomon Islands, frankly thank God who has led us from the very beginning with hope, providence and guidance. I would like to sincerely acknowledge each of you for your prayers and support to the Correctional Service of Solomon Islands staff and inmates over the years.
In this Easter season, may we be encouraged to reflect and embrace the death and resurrection of our one and only Saviour Jesus Christ. In life, we all have triumphed and experienced a lot of challenges and difficulties. Therefore, let the Easter message of triumph give us hope, renewal and newness in life.
According to our Christian faith and belief, let us continue to cherish and uphold the supremacy of God and the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ for the salvation of humanity.
Easter is the perfect reminder for us to abstain from our wicked habits and ask God to instil virtuous habits in our lives. Make this our goal this Easter. At Jesus’s resurrection, the angel said to the woman, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as he said”
By the grace of God, let this Easter season be filled with confidence, joy and bring you hope for a better tomorrow, to fear the Lord and to trust God for His continuous guidance and protection.
May God bless Solomon Islands from shore to shore.
From: Commissioner Mactus Forau
