On behalf of the Ministry of Public Service, we want to convey my heartiest congratulations to you on this auspicious day of Independence. This day not only marks the 44th Independence of our country, but also shows us how much our country has developed since the day it got its Independence.
We can celebrate this day with love and a sense of joy only because our past leaders and heroes have given countless efforts to this country. It is time we are encouraged to reflect on the political, social, and economic situation and challenges we’ve been through in past years.
As a nation known to be a Christian country, we believe and are thankful that God through his only son Jesus Christ continues to give us strength to live from day to day, despite many challenges and hard moments we encounter.
May we move forward with united hearts and build this nation, the Solomon Islands. Our actions today will determine a future for our new generations. Let us stand under this blue, white, green, and yellow-colored flag with pride and confidence, facing the unknown future. “Iumi Tugeda for a Stronger and Peaceful Solomon Islands”
