The Solomon Islands Government through the Solomon Islands National Statistics Office (SINSO), Ministry of Finance and Treasury (MOFT) has budget financing in 2027-2028 (extendable) toward the cost of the provision of official statistical technical assistance and advisory services. The statistical services include top-level technical and advisory support to SINSO in the (i) timely delivery of core recurrent functions and outputs in economic-social demographic statistics, especially in national consumer prices, international merchandise trade statistics, business statistics, employment, visitor arrivals, provincial population projections and other related official statistics; (ii) assist in the implementation of current national statistical projects especially post-analysis of data from the recently completed 2024-25 Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES), design of the proposed Labour Force Survey (lagging indicator), and support for the design and planning phase of the forthcoming 2029 National Population and Housing Census.
The Solomon Islands National Statistics Office, Ministry of Finance and Treasury now invites eligible individual consultants or firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (including C.V (individuals), brochures, description of similar assignments, experience and in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Solomon Islands Procurement and Contract Administration Manual and SIG Financial Instructions 2010. Interested consultants may obtain further information including a request for proposal and terms of reference at the address below during office hours 9:00am – 4:30pm, Solomon Islands time.
Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 8th October 2026.
