Seven CSSI officers Promoted

Seven officers of the Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) have received their promotion during the Commissioners parade this morning 5^th of April 2023 at the Correctional Headquarters, Rove.

Five officers from CSSI headquarter and two officers from Lata Correctional Centre, in Temotu Province.

Speaking at the parade, Commissioner Mactus Forau told the newly promoted officers, that “Your promotions are challenging as you take on the new leadership positions to drive the CSSI objectives and functions.”

“Your promotions are significant for CSSI and the people of Solomon Islands as the future of CSSI is vested on your shoulders and you must lead by example as a sworn officer”.

“CSSI Executive and Management would like to see your commitments and all your inputs in the work by helping our inmates, officers and citizens to show the result of stepping forward in your carrier path”.

“Leadership is all about your behaviours, ability and attribute used to help officers align their collective direction, to execute strategic plans, and to continually renew the organization together as a team to achieve our goals. Thus, CSSI Strategic Directions and Core Values sets a clear direction and concrete foundations for us”, says Commissioner Forau.

However, out of the seven officers, three promoted to the rank of Senior Sergeant and four to the rank of Sergeant including a female officer.

Commissioner Forau again congratulate the newly promoted officers for their well-deserved promotions.
