Prime Minister healthy and well following covid vaccine.

Prime Minister Hon. Manasseh Sogavare, MP is in good health, months after he took his covid19 jab.

The Prime Minister told guests during his keynote address to launch the Sinopharm vaccine in Honiara today.

“I am healthy and well without any health complications. I am amongst the over 13,000 people, citizens and residents who have been vaccinated to date and like me all of them are also healthy and well as I have been informed,” he said.

The Prime Minister also made assurance of the safe and effectiveness of the vaccines.

“I fully understand the fear and anxiety around COVID-19 vaccines but let me assure you all today that all the vaccines that we have been and will be rolling out in country, Sinopharm included, are approved by WHO for emergency use and certified for roll out by the Medicine and Therapeutic Committee.”

“This means they are safe to receive and is effective to protect us from severe illness and death by COVID-19,” he said.

The launching of the Sinopharm vaccine today marks another milestone in the strive to vaccinate all eligible people, 18 years and above, with COVID-19 vaccines.

“This is in fact, the ultimate goal of my government with its current roll out program for COVID-19 vaccines,” the Prime Minster said.

The Democratic Coalition Government for Advancement (DCGA) is fully committed in the fight against the COVID-19.
