The Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) Isabel officers commemorate 38th Anniversary of their beloved Isabel Province on 03 June 2022, at Hammock beach, West of Honiara City.
The low key celebration was made possible by CSSI Isabel Officers Association, led by Mr Vincent Hiro and his Committee members.
This annual event always brings together Isabel officers and family members to come out in good numbers to celebrate, interact, engage, educate and empowerment as they serve the CSSI organization, their people, their province and the country Solomon Islands.
The guest of honour for this low key celebration, CSSI Commissioner Mr Gabriel Manelusi. In his remarks, he acknowledges the Committee members, officers and their families for the spirit and principle of togetherness as a family.
He reinforces to Isabel officers on the CSSI strategic direction, based on the vision, mission, goals and values integrated with the Oath taken during your enlistment into the Service, this is vital as you progress your carrier path in the organization, for your family, your province, and our country Solomon Islands.
“My good officers you must have a strategic direction in all works of live and if you don’t have, you must do it now otherwise you will have left behind the scenes, this is very important and take heed with enthusiasm”, says Manelusi
He encourages his officers as their Commissioner and a leader of Isabel Province on four key components that is to serve our people, program & activities, abide to processes and build a house.
“You have to set a standard aligning with integrity, honesty, respect and discipline, this principle will help shaping you as a leader in the organization and your Province”.
“Our country and province is faced with lots of challenges and what is your contribution and support to your people and Province as a correctional officer, we need to think smart, redirect, change our mindsets and accept the intervention of Jesus in our personal life and family, by doing this we can easily change our people, province and country Solomon Islands”, says Commissioner Manelusi.
On behalf of CSSI Isabel officer’s associations Mrs. Wendy Gebe do acknowledge and thank the Commissioner for accepting the invitation as guest of honor to this important occasion despite busy schedule and commitment but he avails himself to deliver the keynote address as one of our highly respected leader of Isabel Province.
She also acknowledges and thank officers in all Ranks and their family members who attend to this very important event of commemorating our Provincial 38th Anniversary, Second Appointed Day, Isabel Province.
Our culture, our identity, our pride, our province, our future, our country Solomon Islands, To God be the glory, great things he has done, long island, long live, Isabel Province.
